Dangen Entertainment (“Dangen” “we” “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the personal data of our users (“you” or “your”). This privacy policy describes how we collect and safeguard your personal information; the kinds of data we collect; and your choices regarding the use and disclosure of such information.



WHAT DO WE COLLECT:


We may collect and process any information that you decide to send to us, including through email and other communications. This can include your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number and payment processing information. We do not use cookies or any other tracking software to collect any of your personal data that you do not voluntarily provide to us.



HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA:


Our website, www.dangenentertainment.com, does not automatically collect any personal data about you without your consent.

We only collect whatever personally identifying data you consent to provide to us, including any information sent to contact@dangenentertainment.com.

For example, if you decide to send us an email, you must provide (and we may collect) your email address. Similarly, we collect whatever information you submit to us via email, including all communications that you send to us regarding your game.



HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION:


We may use your personal information to:

• respond to your emails;

• perform our contractual obligations to you;

• further our legitimate business interests;

• notify you of changes to our services; and

• other matters based on your consent.

If we decide to process your data for other purposes in the future, we will obtain your consent before we process your data for such new purpose.



WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION:



We limit the release of your information to members of our team who have a legitimate need to access such data.

We will not sell your personal data to any third party without your prior written consent, though we reserve the right to disclose your personal data to any bona-fide prospective purchaser of our company, or of all of our company’s assets (in the case of a corporate merger or acquisition), subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

We require every business partner who has access to your data to institute strict data protection standards. Such business partners include PayPal, Stripe, Google and Mail Chimp. To the extent that we share your data with any appropriate third parties (such as our auditors, legal advisors, other service providers), we will ensure that your data is not disclosed until reasonably appropriate safeguards are in place.

We may share your personal information when required by law, including to third parties, but only where we have a good-faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, legal process, or enforceable government requests; to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, misuse, security or technical issues; and/or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of us, our other users, or the public.

In order to facilitate your orders, we may share your personal data with third party payment processors such as Paypal and Stripe.



HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION:


We may store your personally identifying information on our servers located in the United States though there may be occasional need to work with trusted third parties in other regions in order to perform our contract with you or to provide services. In the case of publishing submissions, we may store your personally identifying information, game documentation, builds, and/or other submitted materials in Google Drive. In all such cases, we will utilize reasonable protections are required under applicable law.

We take data protection seriously and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is treated in accordance with this privacy policy.



HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION:


We will not retain your personal data for any longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) we collected it for, in light of legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. When determining the appropriate retention period, we weigh factors such as the amount, nature, sensitivity and purpose for processing your personal data.



CHILDREN:


Protecting children’s privacy is critically important to us. If we become aware that a user has not yet reached the age of thirteen (13), we will: (i) immediately delete all data related to such child, (ii) collect certain information for limited purposes only, and/or (iii) obtain consent from parents for the use of their children’s personal information, all according to applicable law.

If you are a parent and wish to revoke your previously provided consent, review information collected from your child, or have that information deleted, contact our administrator at privacy-support@dangenentertainment.com.



YOUR RIGHTS:


You have the right to opt out of our services at any time by delivering written notice to privacy-support@dangenentertainment.com. If you no longer want us to process your personal information for marketing purposes, simply click on the ‘unsubscribe’ link contained at the bottom of our marketing.

You may enjoy additional privacy rights, depending on where you live. If you are a resident of the European Union, for example, you enjoy the right to demand a copy of all of your personal data that we have; you have the right update your personal data so that it is correct; and you may have the right to demand that we delete your personal data from our system. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request, but we may decline requests that are unreasonably repetitive, disproportionate, infringe the privacy of others or as otherwise permitted by law.

By withdrawing your consent or otherwise objecting to certain processing of your information, we may not be able to render certain services to you or our services may not function properly.



CHANGES:


We reserve the right to change or update this privacy policy from time to time. We’ll use reasonable efforts to notify you if any such change is material. This privacy policy, as amended, will become legally binding upon you as of the data of its publication (i.e. the “Updated On” date). If you do not agree to the changes, you must cease and refrain from further using our services.
